Country Bread

Natadel's Country Bread - or Pain de Campagne, as it is known in France - begins with a starter fed every day with flour and water.  The result is a loaf with a springy and chewy crumb, and a crunchy crust. A touch of whole wheat  added to the bread flour base give it character, and depth of flavor. We have kept the size manageable (approximately 24oz), but if you feel it is still too big for your needs, please know that it freezes very well once sliced.
